Quality & Certifications

Commitment to Excellence. Backed by Standards.

At SNTP Technologies, quality is not just a department—it's a company-wide philosophy embedded in every process, product, and decision. As pioneers in standardized reinforcement couplers in India, we maintain stringent quality assurance protocols that conform to both national and international benchmarks.

BIS Certification – ISI Mark Rebar Couplers (IS 16172:2023) (Approved by Bureau of Indian Standards)

SNTP Technologies proudly holds the All-India First BIS License to manufacture ISI Mark Rebar Couplers under IS 16172:2023—a milestone that signifies compliance with the highest standards of safety, strength, and durability in the reinforcement industry. Every coupler manufactured under this certification undergoes thorough conformance strictly as per SIT(Scheme of Inspection & Testing) by BIS(Bureau of Indian Standards) to:

  • Cl. 7.1 & 7.2 – Raw material and dimensional conformity

  • Cl. 9.2.1 & 9.2.2 – Tensile strength and slip tests

  • Cl. 9.2.1.1 – Fatigue performance for dynamic loading

  • Table 1 – Scale of Sampling – Strict lot-wise quality inspection

All tests are conducted in accordance with BIS protocols. Our manufacturing facility is periodically inspected and audited by BIS.

ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System

Our end-to-end operations are guided by a certified ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, which includes:

  • Detailed manufacturing SOPs and quality control checkpoints

  • Batch-wise traceability and documentation

  • Continuous improvement driven by internal audits and customer feedback

  • Calibration and upkeep of all testing equipment

Compliance with Global Standards for Mechanical Splices

In addition to IS 16172:2023, SNTP Couplers are designed and tested to meet or exceed the requirements of the following international standards for mechanical splices of reinforcing bars:

🌍 International Standards Compliance

  • ASTM A1034 / A1034M (USA) – Standard Test Methods for Testing Mechanical Splices for Steel Reinforcing Bars

  • ACI 318-19 (USA) – Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (Mechanical splices classified under Type 1 & Type 2)

  • BS 8110 / BS EN 1992-1-1 (Eurocode 2) – Design of Concrete Structures (UK/Europe)

  • DIN 1045-1 (Germany) – Concrete, Reinforced and Prestressed Concrete Structures

  • NZS 3101 (New Zealand) – Concrete Structures Standard

  • AS 3600 (Australia) – Concrete Structures Code

  • CSA A23.3 (Canada) – Design of Concrete Structures

  • JIS G3112 (Japan) – Steel bars for reinforced concrete

  • IS 16172:2023 (India) – Mechanical Splicing of Reinforcement Bars

Our couplers are capable of achieving performance as per global structural demands including seismic zones, high fatigue load environments, and heavy-duty infrastructure applications.
